Joanna Kaki’s journey is shaped by resilience, growth, and a strong passion for helping others find their place in the world. Born in Kurdistan, Iraq, she spent two formative years in Syria before moving to Sweden in 2001. She later settled in Gothenburg, where she adapted quickly and embraced the opportunities and challenges of building a new life.
Her career reflects a strong ability to lead and inspire. Joanna held a leadership role in Volvo’s production department, where she developed solid experience in team management and high pressure environments. She later worked as a Site Manager for one of Sweden’s leading gym and fitness companies, creating positive and goal oriented spaces that left a lasting impact.
Education has also been an important part of her path. Joanna earned a teaching degree from Stockholm University and studied economics and business development, combining academic insight with practical experience.
Fluent in Swedish, English, Arabic, and Kurdish, with conversational skills in Turkish and Spanish, Joanna connects naturally with people from diverse backgrounds. Her warmth and understanding are evident in her work with clients, teams, and events.
Beyond her professional life, Joanna has a strong connection to culture and creativity. She spent over a decade performing Kurdish dance and toured across Europe. She has also coordinated events and weddings, demonstrating strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
At Avida Estate, Joanna brings her leadership, adaptability, and people first mindset to her role as Head of Rentals. Her focus on creating welcoming and safe environments makes her a valued part of the team.
